Special Effects Makeup Advanced Training
The Maske-Wien Special Effects Makeup Advanced Training is a follow-up program tailored to our Special Effects Makeup Basic Training, designed to give participants in-depth specialized expertise and skills, making graduates especially well-prepared for the open job market. Prosthetic transformations using multi-piece, overlapping silicone prosthetic makeup (forehead, cheek, and lower lip pieces), traditional mask-building techniques, makeup-specific Photoshop applications, costume and makeup history, historical hairstyling, haircutting, as well as further development of drawing skills for character design round out the training.
Participants receive a digital portfolio with professional photographs of their work at the end of the course.
Requirement for the Special Effects Makeup Advanced Training: successful completion of the Maske-Wien Visagist Training or a Visagist Training recognized by us, as well as successful completion of the Maske-Wien Special Effects Makeup Basic Training. The Special Effects Makeup Advanced Training comprises 12 weeks (55 days, 330 hrs.) and concludes with a 2-day exam and a diploma.
For all participants who have not completed hairdressing training, attending the Haircutting course is mandatory.
The modules of the Special Effects Makeup Advanced Training can also be booked individually. If you book the entire training, the full package is cheaper than booking the courses separately. (see menu item: Courses)
