Makeup Artistry & Professional Makeup Training

Maske-Wien – the professional makeup training academy in the heart of Vienna. Our programs were created out of a lifelong passion for makeup artistry and character makeup. We provide comprehensive, industry-focused training for aspiring makeup artists and character makeup artists, as well as professionals looking to expand and refine their skills. The work of a professional makeup artist is both diverse and exciting. Career opportunities include creating unique characters and special makeup effects for theatre, film, and television; designing beauty makeup looks for magazines, fashion, and advertising; as well as producing body painting concepts for a wide range of events. Our graduates have gone on to work with leading organizations and productions, including ORF, ART for ART, the Eurovision Song Contest, the Salzburg Festival, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, the Vienna State Opera, the Burgtheater, Modeschule Hallein, Douglas, MAC Cosmetics, The Body Shop, Samsara Film, WEGA Film, and many others.

What sets Maske-Wien apart is its close collaboration with leading Hollywood makeup artists, who regularly teach masterclasses at our academy, sharing their expertise with professionals who want to stay at the forefront of the industry. At Maske-Wien, training in Beauty Makeup is considered the essential foundation of makeup artistry. Building on these fundamental skills, you can choose between our Foundation Character Makeup program (including makeup effects) or our Professional Makeup Artist program, which focuses on advanced beauty makeup techniques.

The individual modules within the Foundation Character Makeup and Professional Makeup Artist programs can also be booked separately, giving you the opportunity to explore the profession of a makeup artist and character makeup artist without making a major financial commitment.

Our seminars are also designed as advanced training opportunities for qualified beauty makeup artists who wish to expand their expertise in areas such as Character Makeup, SFX Makeup, Wig Making, and many other specialized techniques.
