Secrets of a Legend – Exclusive Masterclass with Ve Neill

Ve Neill has been shaping the makeup looks of Hollywood blockbusters since the 1980s, demonstrating extraordinary versatility in creating both beauty looks and special makeup effects. Her portfolio spans decades and includes iconic productions such as Star Trek, The Lost Boys, nearly all of Tim Burton’s films including Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice, as well as major blockbusters such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Mrs. Doubtfire, The Hunger Games, and many more.

Three Academy Awards and numerous nominations confirm the significance of this true master of makeup artistry.

Several years ago, Ve founded her own makeup school, LEGENDS, in Los Angeles and began sharing her extensive knowledge with aspiring artists. We are thrilled to welcome this legend to Vienna and Berlin for two exclusive masterclasses. Over the course of five days, Ve Neill will share her expertise and techniques:

This is the second masterclass that Ve is teaching at our Maske Wien Studio.

The Ve Neill Masterclass 2025 does not build upon the Ve Neill Masterclass 2024 and can therefore be booked independently, even if you did not attend the previous masterclass.

This year, the following topics will be covered, with demonstrations by Ve followed by hands-on practice by the participants:

Day 1:
How do you create a character design for a prosthetic makeup?
We will create PAX Paint and explore color design techniques, followed by painting foam latex prosthetic pieces.
Planning and designing a complete costume.

Day 2:
Application and blending of foam latex prosthetics.
Creation of the complete character makeup.

Day 3:
On this day, we will transform a model approximately 40 years older or younger.
Using Ve’s makeup techniques, participants will learn how to age and rejuvenate a person through makeup.

Day 4:
Ve demonstrates her proven beauty makeup techniques for film:
No-Makeup Makeup, natural daytime makeup, and evening makeup.

Day 5:
Last but not least:
BUSINESS CLASS: Ve explains how to calculate and plan budgets, materials, and resources for film productions.

Please bring a model on Tuesday and Thursday. If this is not possible, please contact us and we can arrange a model for €50 per day.
