Sculpting with Hollywood Special Makeup Effects Artist Brian Wade
This masterclass with two-time Oscar-winning* Hollywood makeup FX sculptor Brian Wade (*Vice, The Eyes of Tammy Faye) is a unique opportunity to learn directly from a master of this caliber in Europe: Brian Wade has worked for over 40 years on major Hollywood productions such as Batman, Narnia, Van Helsing, Blade, Gorillas in the Mist, The Thing, The X-Files, Swamp Thing, Midnight Mass, Army of the Dead, Stranger Things, and many more. He also designs characters for the video game industry. His perhaps most famous creation is the mouse from the film “Stuart Little.”

In our 5-day masterclass, you can watch over Brian’s shoulder as he sculpts on the first day.
He works on a facial life-cast positive. On the 4 practice days, participants get to work themselves.
For their own sculpture, participants choose between a creature or zombie makeup sculpt.

Brian Wade teaches how to build up a sculpture using primary and secondary forms; for the finishing touches, the “Master of Texture” has many tricks up his sleeve for surface work to achieve a realistic depiction of fine lines, pores, etc.
