CHARACTER AND THEATER MAKEUP 1

Our most popular workshop! This workshop is designed both for trained make-up artists who want to expand their skills, and for beginners who want to use the workshop as an introduction to the profession of makeup artist. As a theater makeup artist, you support performers in their roles with skilled makeup know-how and empathy. Taking facial anatomy into account and using shading and highlights in a targeted way, you will learn: how to make a face look old or give it a completely different expression. How do you create truly great character makeup? Another focus of this workshop is blending with eyeshadow, a technique that defines professional makeup. Various classic makeup characters such as skull, Mephisto, and vampire will be covered. The Character Workshop also includes: skin and wound effects using gelatin/latex, making it great preparation for Halloween makeup.

Materials: If you have your own makeup kit, you’re welcome to bring it. Alternatively, all materials can be borrowed for a fee of € 30,-. A brush set can also be borrowed for an additional € 10,-.
